We took Gavin on his second trip to the zoo this weekend. It was really hot and humid, so we didn't spend too much time, but we had a good time. Gavin reacted the most to this donkey and to the fish. Go figure. A lot of the animals were hiding out in the shade, so they weren't easy to spot. It's nice to have a zoo nearby here in Des Moines, but we're also hoping to take Gavin to the Omaha Zoo sometime in the next few months.
